The Stamp Pad holder...sorry thrift store find by way of Carlos (DIL Dad) so free to me.

I though the retired (fill in the circles) case would do the work because of the yearly changes for those, but many have requested it, that will be up soon also.

A Partial Bucket Scratch....

Hi Y'all ...today I did a little Bucket List Scratching, but only a partial scratch.

I'm on pins and Needles, this will be a big decision...

I'm going to open a hand-made shop, hopefully with some co-owners.

I've looked at two Spaces so far well 3 but that was to scary to even mention to my co-owners...

walking into a cozy room filled with Handmade and Up-Cycled, some place you can sit down kick your feet up and just gaze at all the Handmade Beauty...AWE!

With a little room for classes of all Handmade type teaching, crafty artists so good at what they do to teach me and others felting, or the art of glass making, new and old techniques of all crafts. With lots of people buying the Home-made Beauties and signing up for those classes...

OK I will get back to reality, Let happen, Happen!

The Big Honking Plastic Table...

First go check out This Old Post and the Big Honking Plastic table, I was always cleaning.

That table became the catch-all for everything.

Found...curbside a coffee table I really liked the legs on (show you what I did with those later)

I still had the top...

Pretty Legs...

Bam...it dawned on me this table top was the most perfect size, not a Big Honking Thing.

Sent Hubby to the store to get some fence posts, and he even had them cut into 3 feet lengths.
Used the old hardware (screws and bolts)

and I have a new Counter height Table. I'm short...

I went to Habitat and just bought wood pieces that were the same depth, length did not matter as long as they were longer than the shelf I planned. This is where the Hubbies mind changed about my hoarding, he took over. Which was fine by me, I still asked for my own power tools for X-mas, he even found lite and cordless.

But after the accident I had earlier last year with a tree and a pole saw, all new safety equipment came with it.

I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint this color is called Old Paint-no wax, I call it the Lazy "wo"mans paint and have several colors, tell you more of that later, cause there is a lot to talk about.t

The little hardware thingy on the sides hold trash collection bags and such.

It's the perfect height for cutting Fabric, paper and well...everything else, with-out to many aches;)
This also Houses my Big Shot Machine and Dies.

An Old wine rack that fits my long dies and...

A Big Beautiful Fabric Box (TJ Maxx) with a lid that hides the rest.

Soon I hope this table will also house an E-clips or Silhouette! I'll find a way to store that pretty too.

The Wall of wonder...Ooh Awe!

All 8 Pics are me standing by the table and turning left.

Over the next couple of weeks..I will explain how and what I did.

The collecting of things (my husband said I was a hoarder) and how I got him interested in some of the projects, I'm no longer a hoarder, just a wife with a "wild" and creative imagination.

Most of my organizing items you might already have but then flea markets, curbs, or Thrift Stores might become your new places to shop... If you already don't.

Oh...and Craig's List, Ross and TJ Maxx!

There are still things I need to finish, some painting and such. I still keep changing as I find what flows and what gets in the way and what does not work with my own personal Feng shui.

But with me...changing things up now and again, is fun.

Well anyways, I do love the Binder covers floating around all over Cyber and Grocery Worlds...

Funny thing is, I've had Pinterest Like Binders forever...LOVE PINTEREST!

If you do not know what Pinterest is, there is a little Pinterest link to the right, click, BUT be prepared!

So many awesome ideas all in an easy to find location, no more Bookmarking!

So for my Binders..This is the first cover using one of SU's Fabulous Fabrics and I totally winged it, to cheap to buy a pattern and a somewhat alright sewer to try it on my own and surprisingly my measurements worked...
slowly have been working on a 3 inch binder pattern, this is a 1 1/2in and I will share...

Just bare with my busy schedule please.

Inside I have tabs of Style, Food, Ideas, Health....

Tabs of each part of my house and dreams of what I want it to look like on Graph Paper, with colors and new products and accessories (of coarse these change as each year goes by)

I have pages of plain white card stock with loads of pics from Magazines I love to read. I just cut out the parts that really catch my eye and glue them.

And a couple of pockets to hold my much loved Sticky notes and more.
Ive had this portable Pinterest for ever ...
Now it's just Organized Pretty!

Home made vanilla...yummy.

These were suppose to be last years X-mas gifts, some were packaged prettily and given, the others, 20 bottles in all still sit waiting to be beautified. Actually the longer they sit the better, receipt...

3 Vanilla Beans to 1/2 cup of your Best Vodka Slice beans open, I recommend you chop in fourths so vodka always covers the beans (exposed to air they will mold) Let sit in dark place 4 to 6 months before use.
I get my Beans from My Spice Sage plus they send you a free sample and their prices were perfect!

Yep after a long long hiatus from blogging. I am coming back to show you crafty stuff.

All crafts blend and mesh nicely. I'm not a "stick to one thing kinda gal". I love to change it up...a lot!
Changes happen everyday, sometimes the best changes start with yourself...

Stampin' UP!® has a great case for when you purchase the full set of Stampin' Write Markers 119806.

I never had the case, only cause I still have some of the original marker Stampin' UP! started with (sister gave to me) and they did not come in the cool case they do now.

BUT! I think these cases are just as cool.

To store my markers. Easy for Transport also.

Pretty & Functional

Found an awesome dresser with a broken bottom drawer at a local Habitat Thrift store snagged it for...20$

Guess what I found out to late...it was Old and made of a red wood (not stained that color)

and I painted it. I know I know!

How do I know (I'm no expert, I just liked it and the price) A Good friend who is an expert, cried after I showed her, I almost joined her. I did put up a good front of some simulate of a sad face...just to excited to get it up in my now Girl Room. Lilli has joined forces against all the men in this house, to have a space to create! We even took over a part of the Garage, HA!

A Curtain Rod found on Clearance...so long ago. Add some Cafe Clips and you have yourself a cheap way to clip up you stickers, rub-ons and anything else (dried/drying herbs, photos, child art...)

Another find in Clearance @ TJ Maxx add some Ikea Dignitet Curtain Clips another place to hang you stash and it's pretty!

Since the bottom drawer was busted I removed the second drawer and made them shelves.

Seeing Things

Just some cards I did Earlier this year...

But I love this set especially the Dog Wood Tree or some may say Cherry Blossoms.

It's all in how ya look at it, I grew up with Dog Woods all over where I live, (waiting on the Magnolia Stamp),

and they look just like this stamp right when they are starting to bloom.

I love how many can see something in a stamp, other than what it actually is and make many uses of it.

Which stamps do you see something other than what it is?

These past few months have been the biggest Life challenges so far in my "almost" 40 Years of life...

On Thursday My Mom Underwent another surgery to replace her 1st Hip Replacement..yeah she has 2 that need to come out, 1 down and the worse.

This past year has been the worse for her, after she was laid off, she went into a big slump with lots of pain and a whole slew of other ailments. So I had her join Scentsy with me to get her out and about (she loves my crafts and cards, just easier to enjoy mine than do them her self).. Scentsy is a Direct Selling company of Wickless Candle Scents and easy to do, so it was perfect for her...

But she still struggled, and I worried and ranted and pouted out of frustration, that she needed to keep active.

Now I know why (and feel awful) after her Doc took out a disintegrated hip replacement, UGH!

A New Obstacle...

Friday Lilli has an Accident and severely broke the arm bones near her wrist...it was Gruesome, I was a Basket Case, she was my rock!

Now as the Shock wears off. I'm hers...with chocolate Ice Cream (fixes everything...I swear), meds, and pillow fluffing! We wait anxiously for next week, after the swelling goes down, what comes next.

♥Love the One's that matter the most...Everyday no matter what!♥

Only the Funny, Informative,and Awesome Samples & Ideas from now on...no more explanation.

So I leave you with this non-paper craft..cause who doesn't need things like these.

I love to entertain and as you know I'm a curb find and thrift store Stalker!

So when ya need some cheap food display or for anything really, we use them for our

Scentsy Home Party Samples!

A great Glass Glue comes in handy and can be found at any craft or hobby store.

Who Loves Cake Plates...

Some plates and anything that can be used as the base, I used vases and upside down Bowls.

Who Loves Candy Dishes...

Some candle holders (I went wickless) and Glass vases.

AA HA! Don't throw them out re-purpose them.

Happy Memorial Day!

Just a few signs/wall decor I have finished.

The top one was a gift for a very good Friend's Birthday.

It's hard to see, but the "STAMPING" part, cut using the Big Shot and the serif dies...

are some SU papers...

STOP HOARDING AND START USING!!!! Those Papers I mean☺

This was the first sign I made and the guinea pig for all the others. I was going for Old Timey/Vintage....and still working and experimenting with that. The second sign(a reason for being away)
For Alex my oldest, his new house bought, repainted and fixed up by us all and....His just recent Marriage, to Liz, an awesome new addition to the Woodruff "Fudge" Family!
I Love her Dearly and she Scrapbooks (another Bonus!) HEHE!

I'm hoping to acquire a Silhouette Soon..HINT HINT HINT Honey! For more Letter fonts!

Otherwise I will stick to the methods I have been using....Here I will show you:

If you don't have an awesome die cutting or the "just right letter die", find a font on the computer you love...expand it to fit your board,and print it up.

Trace the back with a charcoal pencil, a black colored pencil works also.

Place it where you want it, a little tape, and using your bone folders....rub!

Paint it in.

Old Timey/Vintage...means you can mess up and it will still looks great!

Also hit up your Habitat Thrift Stores and the cut bins in your Hardware Stores, sometimes you can get boards for Free or Pennies!

I have a lot to show you all, and the next few post will explain my absence.

A little redo of me...

began with a little health scare at Christmas, it's little now cause luckily it amounted to nothing but a big headache. An accident recently

involving a visit to a Dr. McDreamy (are you familiar with the doc's on Grey's Anatomy)

some changes in between I made happen, things I have been longing to do again and have.

It's a book, so I will not bore you all at once.

But I will say this "This is a no Cortisol Zone" Seriously!

Now to the biggest decision I made this year, if you have not noticed yet....

Yes, I am no longer an SU DEMO!

It was the hardest change I made, but I will be back, when the time is right.

For now, I will still do my blog and yes SU (cause that is all I really have) products

will be the main show here,

I have other awesome projects to show some involving organization of all my craft and SU stuff!

YEP! another stamp cave redo.

This time I went for pretty-it being functional was a plus.

As always going to keep it short...

Sew Happy....

Stampin' UP!® is coming out with a whole suite of sew cute stamps, fabric, paper, and accessories!
A Little sneak peek of "oh SEW Suite", from the, soon to release Occasions Mini.
This cabinet, no longer have it BOO HOO), was For the Inky Angels & Inked Blessings X-mas party.
Found the cabinet at the thrift store filled with Linkin-logs, for only 2.00$ CHA CHING Again!

Here's some Deets....

Painted it here and there with brown and green craft paint, then applied, with sponge brushes, Aileen's Tacky Glue to these spots in one direction and immediately with the top coat color in another direction.
Worked like a dream and cheaper than the actual crackle paint.

Pin cushion section, using some Sweet Stitches fabric and the Sew Suite Stamp set.

Buttons and more section,
and a little clothes line, really can hang some fabric Samples and more from it.

Scissor Section, this is hanging by a wooded piece and a fun button on top.
Stamped the Tape measure from the set for a little accent.
The tape measure clear stamp is very long and must be put diagonally on a block.
When you get this set...of which I know you will. You will see what I am talking about.☺

A miniature cross and cork board.

Some thread and Cross stitch floss to use on your projects.
The Whole cabinet is use-able.
* just a slight note...there is no sewing on this, it is all the
Sweet Stitches fabric, Anywhere glue stick, and a Hot Glue Gun☺
Alicia C. an avid sewer, stole this awesome piece, and it could not have gone to a better home.
I thought about saving and entering it in the 2011 Artisan Awards. But have decided not to enter this time.

Thrifty Word of Advice....

Make sure your intention's of what your buying it for works before you go and alter it!

Meaning...I planned on making "what ever this thing was" a magnetic Advent Calender.

After completely creating all the days and decorating this, whatever this thing is, and proceeding to hot glue the magnets on, I realized they did not stick....UGH!

OK re-think part.....Oh these cute little clothes pins scattered all over my messy work space.

TA DA!

Always another way.

I bought this, whatever it may be, thing a while ago,

actually 2 of them for 1/2 off the original price, Cha Ching!

I knew these would make awesome advent calenders, didn't know what I was going to do to em, just stewed a bit and just started working...final results a retro piece of art!

Lilli asked why it's not red and green, this is where I go into a convo about "Stepping out of the Box"

Yadda Yadda Yadda and who whats to be normal all the time!

Little does she know it matches our home decor already, blending nicely and normally☺

Silver Plates and Platters

I did at one time, and probably bought the same ones I donated.

That's OK it all helps for a cause anyways♥

These were only 10.-25. cents at my thrift place. I think I claimed more on my taxes☺

The plate above actually hangs on the wall from the clock.

Here's the Deets....

Drill a hole in the center

Make sure you punch/hammer a starter hole so your drill bit does not slide.

Trace plate center on to your paper choice, cut and sand for a more smooth edge.

Stamp your image, mine is embossed in black, them colored, with a little sponging and spritzing.

Modge Podge piece down and on top, let dry.

Insert clock with the instruction's from package, I found my clocks at my local craft store for $3.50.....coupon!!!!

Beware to get the right shaft length for your project , there are many from short to long.

Or just omit the hole and make a nice inspiration piece....Like below.

Fast and easy

whether you make it Shabby Chic, like above, or more Modern (I'll show more later)

the possibilities are endless...

add a pretty bauble or two, stamp on tissue paper for a more opaque look, add more ribbon,

put the numbers or not and so much more.

No more Cat Naps...

A cheaper way to take my photos and much sturdier... so no more cat boxes. Older post☺

Very first photo up above with no editing, only cropping.

Less time taken to get it right enough to show you the true color of a card and other items...and all for a heck of a lot cheaper than ordering online, or your cardboard made, becoming a cats napping area...twice!

I have come up with a better formation than this so it will actually save more. Too excited to show you!

*So check back to this post I will edit with that formation (with pics) and accurate supplies!

It's still not done I still have to get backing pieces but...

Here's the scoop: PVC 1/2'' cut at 16''...I'm thinking I might make them 12'' instead.

2 -$5 lights at the big orange box store.

2 yards white cotton, check your remnants. Velcro, I sewed mine, there are no sew kinds for fabric.

The best part, it comes apart and stores away nicely, going to make a bag, when time permits.

Most of you will never see it, only my Demo Friends, luckily I took a pic before mailing it off.

It was my very first Submit to the Magazine.

I "think" of submitting for all kinds of contest, either time never permits or I'm just a chicken.

Make a card front Glue to sealed flap side of envie. Make an insert.

Honey Pumpkin Birthday Butter

A Couple of weeks ago was Lisa Freeman's Birthday and she got my

Honey Pumpkin Butter it's so Yummy just ask her and all who celebrated with us.

The pic taken in a quick "Oh I have to get a picture of this," moment

is in the Man cave, it was rainy, so not as nice as I would like but...

I have remedied that (seems like I keep trying) and I will show you soon and it's for good this time.

Like the Butter receipt?

Super simple and I know most of you have some kind of cute container to put it in, if not

just eat it right out of the bowl!

Pumpkin Butter

1 stick of Butter

1/2 cup Honey

3 Tablespoons of Pure Pumpkin

1 Teaspoon Pumpkin Spice

Let butter soften in bowl you will mix it in

add all Ingredient's and Just Beat It!

WOO!

Wear your white Glove too, makes it taste better...Not!

You can make several batches at a time, say like 3 sticks of Butter☺,

just make sure all other ingredient's add up too.

I also do not add all the honey, with 3 sticks I only added about a half of a bear. I left him some☺

This card is a change up from another card by Lisa Johnson, in an older stamp book I found on the clearance rack...remember to check those, surprisingly they do put stamping book on them GASP!

I just used Stampin' UP!® Stamps and paper.

Card cut from Baja using stamp sets Extreme Elements and Vintage Vogue.

Bottom paper is from Bear paper, name escapes me and my catty is packed up.

Sponged with Pear Pizazz.

Sponge black all around and spritz with black also.

Kind of a Grungy look.

Another Short Post....

with all the excitement around here there is lots to do and so much catch up on.

I have slowly been working on this for the past couple of weeks.

My goal is to have a whole slew of new Holiday Decorations for my home...especially in time for them all.

I'm almost thinking it will not happen, but I keep truck-in on.

I know I can...I know I can...I know I can!

I never had the case, only cause I still have some of the original marker Stampin' UP! started with (sister gave to me) and they did not come in the cool case they do now.

BUT! I think these cases are just as cool.

Smooch! Gone Good...

Sam! Gone Camera Bad....Again,
so you really cannot see the details of this card.
The Cherry Spritzes, kinda like how that sounds.
I know you said it HE HE!
Of coarse the Spritzer has become my new go-to tool and is a must have for just that right finish.
Another fun tool and I've think I have mention it, Smooch Accent Ink.
This card was Complete until I picked it up again
and decided to paint some Moonlight Smooch in the lines of the
Big Shots Textured Embossing Folder Spider Web.

Smooch Accent Ink has a brush when applied that can appear Harsh, make sense?
Almost started to cry, why, why, why?...
Can I not leave great things alone.
Until I tried to wipe it off, UH not Happening!.."It's Ink you Dodo".
But what appeared after softening the harsh lines made me keep going and going...
I Liked it, so I'm sharing it with you.
Sometimes bad things, turn into good!

So I took a little leave of "blog" absence, did ya notice?

Didn't think so,

your probably as busy as I am, at least most of my busy is all in my head...somewhat!

First week of school went surprisingly GOOD!

Paper Craft wise, some deadlines crept up on me for submissions I wanted to do, of which I didn't make.

So because I didn't submit and they are not strictly SU, my creations will be up at Splitcoast.....

As soon as I get a new SD Card to take pics of them, must of worked my old one to death and all my back ups are loaded with music, go figure, am I hurrying to get a new one....nope.

Ill let ya know.

No Kids going to the hospital for food poisoning.

Lilli kept saying "go buy them Mom", she knows me so well, and probably a little afraid for her friends as well (she actually wanted me to go to Cup Cake Charlies. A little point at the map, "Road Trip" was all she said, I agree)

They made Frames and guess what, that was one of several pic I could not wrestle out of the over worked SD card. She loved it...Made me Happy!

And That is all That Matters!!!!

A little Home Decorating

Just a little change...

was all this wall needed.

I had a beautiful flowered wreath in this spot, that just kept whispering "not your style Sam"

A little while ago Kathy a great friend and fellow demo gave one as a gift at one of our Birthday Shoe box swaps, a few of us local demos celebrate for each other through the year.
I knew I had to make one and exactly where it would go, in the spot that kept whispering☺

I used every Big Shot Flower Die I had....
Flower Daises-Island Floral-Floral Fusion-Birds & Blooms-
Blossom Party-Leaves #2. Glued to Skewers, arranged in Wall Tin stuffed with Floral foam.
Then covered with crimped & shredded SU box filler...not a hoarder (previous post)☺
Off for the last minute school stuff.

Convention Quilt Square Swap

I did a Fabric Swap at Convention this year with Angie Juda.

Thank You Angie!

She organized an 8x8 80 Block Quilt Square Swap using the Big Shot and the Flower Bigz Clear Die

I only signed up for 4 slots which would give me 40 squares,

more of a throw than a blanket, and quite a big throw.

"MENTAL PICTURE".... Big enough to cover the top of a Twin bed.

All the participant choose awesome Flower Fabric's, I thought it gave the throw a "Fabby

(bohemian, vintage, shabby chic) Look" not to try and match the flowers.

Very challenging for me, taking it slow and sewing around each petal, but so glad I did it.

I now feel I'm a much improved sewer.

My MIL (♥her, yep really do) helped finish it off.

The soon to arrive Grand Baby now has an Heirloom, to love, wipe her tears, snuggle, cover her eyes during scary movies☺, security, warmth, and pass on to her Future Lovey's so they can do the same!

Cones & Cupcakes & Showers!

The Baby Mommas (Liz, love Ya) Shower was this weekend at my house.

Whew was it a packed House!

A center piece for any event is always Nice and a great way to do that is with Paper.

So instead of a diaper cake, I created, Cones and Cupcakes.

At first I wanted to make a diaper cake and use real baby items instead of wasting disposable diapers.

I know there is a way, but I feel once you roll them, that compromises the insides anyways.

For the Stand

I used some thick cardboard pieces Stampin' UP!® uses to protect their products for shipping

...I knew I wasn't a hoarder just a recycler.

A tube from one of our Decor elements, Some thicker (there are thin & thick) Skewers criss crossed and poked through the middle of the tube to hold the center platform, shims are needed to level.

The top platform has the skewers glued on the bottom and just lays on the top.

Spray painted a chocolate color for future use, surprisingly it's very sturdy.

The cones are made using the Big Shot Scallop Circle die then run through a Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate, shaped and glued, with rolled onesies, this inspiration came from a great Blog friend

Lorraine at Paper Vernissage, she does a different, but still adorable variation,

with a Great Tutorial you can see HERE

The cupcakes are rolled washcloths, hats, and burp clothes, since I do not have the Big Shot Die Perfect Settings I created a template for the paper cups or you could use real ones. But whats the fun in that?.

This inspiration came from Stampin' Connection a Demos Only Site and I did not favorite it,

so PLEASE if you know and she's has a blog email me so I can edit,

her creation is way to Adorable not to link her.

After making the Shower invites, this tower,

and so much more (took pics only my SD card corrupted)

I'm so Glad I did not get rid/sell all my recent retired papers and card stocks.

Unfortunately I have tons so some has to go, but I will keep just a select few...

yep Stampin' UP!® has fabric coming out in the Sept 1 Release of the Holiday Mini

Three Fat Quarters of Awesome patterns per package and

instructions of adorable items you can do, without sewing.

They match some even more Awesomer (is that a word) Designer Series paper in the Mini.

There are 2 styles (bright & cute-vintage) with 3 different prints each to choose from,

and this is only a small sample....

more to come with these fabrics.

Off to prepare for my Grand Daughters Baby Shower,
and finishing all the Goodies I made for it, I'll show those next week....

Trying so Hard......

skipping the all important Fall Themes.

It's just that the Christmas/Holiday stamps in the Main and Up coming Mini Catalogs are all so stinkin Cute!

My card, Dark & Dreary a new set coming out Sept 1 in the new mini.

Some News Print DSP, folded then ripped to create the holes

and some distressed Espresso circles placed behind.

See the eye's peeking out, that's the New Moonlight Smooch® Pearlized Accent ink, from the

Main Catty p195, I also used it to outline the Happy Halloween at the bottom.

I'm loving all the Smooch products Stampin' UP!® is offering,

I've actually used it on several of my cards in earlier posts and if I were a better

Photographer you'd probably see it a little better.

Smooch of any type just adds that extra element to any card.

Paper Snipping/piecing Extreme

Extreme you say, for such a Simple card....
well if snipping each and every poinsettia from the same stamped image on Cherry Cobbler Card Stock
doesn't qualify as Extreme, maybe the hour it took me to do this simple looking card does.
Surprisingly I impressed myself that I could sit there that long, snipping away,
but the snipping was not the hard part, piecing was.
Butter & slicing images kept flashing in the air filled head, which made the snipping kind of nice,
cause who doesn't like ~~snips like~~ butter?

Umm, Snipping..... counting the times "snipping" is said yet?
Can you feel what I'm leading up to?
If you Paper Pieced Extreme like this, would you take this well used tool
for granted again, or fall deeply in love with the best scissors out there.

Snip needs his own post, I think, after an Extremely well done job.
His precision-ground tip can get into the tiniest of places.
He normally sits by my side, patiently waiting and keeping me company and as of late becoming
great friends with some bling...that's another post.

Laundry!!!

I love summer laundry, if your like me and do it once a week, summer laundry seems to take less time and get done faster, probably cause there's less of it. Thinking I need to move to a always warm state.

I tried doing a load here and there soooo many times, Just does not work for me.

Always made me feel inadequate to meet "those" that never seem to have a basket laying around somewhere, but then again I never checked their closets.

I found out from the head guy that this is OK, he says "do what works for you."

Working still on organization, but almost there.

Forgetfulness, the reason I have calenders everywhere. Now working on timing.

Mushrooms Mushrooms every where....I love Mushrooms!

The family and I took a 2 mile hike this weekend around a local lake and the fungi were everywhere.

I snap so many pictures of so many different varieties that every color on this card had a matching mushroom

The pics soon to be on some scrap pages.... I hope.

I have come up with an awesome Scrap Class using one of the Simply Scrappin Kits, but to make it different I made sure there was an Awesome technique to each page.

So that's a little tidbit on what I'm up to, now that hubby is back at work, I feel I can get a tad bit more accomplished in the stamp room.

He's more exhausting than the kids!!!

Notice the 1 1/4 Grosgrain Striped Ribbon on my card,nope we don't sell that, I just changed it up a bit.

Huh, fat chance...he has made me some cards though, of which I will show you soon.

Fishing...I really do like to, but he thinks it needs to be an all day "adventure"

I refuse every time now, "Get a Boat with a Potty", I say,

"Whats wrong with hanging over the side", he says.

Um mm...

Snakes, picture this...... biting my Tushy,

I actually have more pictures running through my head with this one, but I do not think I'll pass those on,

have the camera ready.

Snapping Turtles, they get huge here, these might drag me in, get the camera ready.

Any kind of creatures with any type of curiosity and my Tushy do not mix.

Nope hanging over the side is not an option.

These are still moments I would love to get pictures of, as long as it's not me.

He did take the kids off to a Sports Museum yesterday, and then to the boat place to "browse"

Needless to say 30,000$ to start, is a little more than I wanted to spend on a Potty.

So I Scrap Booked...and now have an awesome class to come.

OK so don't look to close at my flower, kinda did not turn out the way I wanted, sure was not going to waste it though. It's one of the new Paper Daisies-119243. They color, stamp, and dye nicely.

The reason on Why it's hard for me to do swaps

I always joked I had it and had thought I was losing my mind or has some kind of early-on Demetia,
but as of January of this year was finally diagnosed.
Yes I take medication and have changes my diet (feingold), exercise, there are several ways to help combat it.
Below is a little tidbit to check out.

Lets not kid our selves most Bloggers in Blog Land especially SU Demo's

Convention has made me rethink how I want to do my blog.

I am going to Share everything-templates, the classes I have had and will still have*, videos, and anything else I can come up with FREE!

Most have always been free already.

To you, my family, friends and fellow Demo's...mostly you guys, my demo visitors.

I'm not kidding myself, I know the majority of my visitors are demo's.

Now There is a Catch...

I still will not be putting up the ingredients, just one blog post takes way to much of my time, you will understand why a little more in Monday's post.

If it's a template, you will have to email me for it or ask what was used if I do not already have it up.

Right now I'm on Summer Va Cay so I have the time, but when school starts things around here get a little busy and I will put things up as fast as my time allows.

(Oh Oh! be prepared I get quite deep in this paragraph)

Now on how long I will be doing this....

Who knows, before Convention I was on the fence about continuing being an SU demo and frankly I still am

and will see what comes and the Big Plan "He" has for me.

The Paper Craft world is Fierce and Competition is High

When it starts to become "not fun anymore" you bring it back and change the way you were doing it

to make it Fun again....I have/am.

My family suffered with me trying to make this a business, and who knows it can still happen.

But for now, I have a lot of making up to do and that's what this summer for me has been all about...

Loving On them so much they are sick of me.

You will start to see other things besides SU products but still follow the IDA,

I have mostly/all SU product cause nothing can compare to the quality.

I know I will lose some of you as followers and subscribers, that's OK. I will miss you and totally understand.

*I will still have classes and have some up now and always Share SU with all and any who will listen, for as long as I'm able.

My Direction can only be decided by One and I'm waiting to see which way he will take me.

My card and the next few posts are some more One-of-a-kind Convention swaps.

I made quite a few One of a Kind swaps...

So if you, my Lucky Demo Convention goers got one....There's no other like it.

I actually had fun with the new Confetti Stamp set which you will see in the next few posts.

This one is using Grunge Rock and Sanded BG added a little bling....Perfect!

A simple but great card for any teenager or young at heart.

My Picture Tutorial of the Coffee Cozy will be up in tutorials on Friday and still working on my Fun(ny) Convention Video seems Flip and his controller were a little over zealous on taking great videos, so need to put them together....

Another swap....

I had huge plans with Flip, he was such a trooper.

Plans on video shooting and loading "A Day in the life of a Convention Goer" each day so you could share in the excitement and why you really need to be there better yet, why you need to be a Demo. Unfortunately it would of cost me way to much and Memento Mall deserved that money, I know you all understand☺

I have so much to show. This was another swap. I did 8 eight these.

I'm in the process of a whole lot of last minute swaps...Some organized, some General.

Yes I procrastinated, Nope, not one regret. Always do my best at the last minute anyways.

Been having to much fun with my darlings, going to the movies, beach, and a few other museum type expeditions.

Our Stay-Cation, anything close by and cheap.

The above ATC-Artist Trading Card has been in my warped mind for to long, no I'm not going to trade this one. Only because, it all depends on how you want to interrupt it.

My friends who know my warped mind and luckily still love me, kind of said "Don't do It"...

More like a slap upside the head to get that warped air out of there.

Some quick 3x3 cards using some New Catty Goodness

Brights... it is for me, with a little in-color thrown in.

This Collection just plain ole cheers me up.

The buttons and brads are "Super Colored & Bright"

Brights Patterns Designer Pack makes me want to wallpaper my rooms, they are that gorgeous.

Poppy Parade an in-color, probably will be my go to color for a while.

The stamp set Funky Four is just plain Fun.

Also used Level One in color paper pack, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Jewels, Hearts & Brackets Originals Big Shot Die, Scallop Rectangle Clearlits, Beautiful wings Embosslit.

Artistic Etchings stamp set was a hard choice for me.

I took a closer look and another, analyzed it, re looked, and finally decided it had a whole lot of Elements that can be used a whole lot....This page and now the start of a whole Book for Hubbies French side.

The Eiffel tower kept jumping out at me...what the heck do I need that for?

Duh!!!!

Actually I have a feeling that part of the set will be used quite a bit.

So enough of my ADD ramblings...

what I'm saying is if a Stamp Set just keeps Drawing your Eye

take a closer look and another, analyze it, re look....

You never know it might be that go to set all the time.
I also used the the Super Neat Presto Patterns Specialty DSP, colored a piece of 5/8 organza ribbon, sponged chip board letters and my own handwriting for the title.

The above card is really showing some DSP called Greenhouse Gala, the colors are Fabulous.

I cut some of the flowers from one of the double sided pages, embossed the whole card with the new

Big Shot Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

The only stamp used Tiny Tags, Easy Peasy.

I came across a Fork Bow Tutorial, it was Diana... my savor.

Well I had to take it a little further. I have curly Hair so I brought out the Big Guns, my Giant Pick.

I wrapped the ribbon a little more...results a bigger bow and more loop-d-loops.

This Card is using some Awesome DSP called Newsprint, a new set Called Artistic Etchings and

some new ribbon 1/8 Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.

A little late, thought I had Pics of the other things I had done...I didn't.

Remedied that and they will be up next week.

In the mean time here are some My Digital Studio Pages created a while ago.

Decided since it's 100 degrees and over this week to go ahead and rehire the maid...she's such a slacker.

She did no Spring cleaning, so Summer cleaning it is.

She and her child laborers, cleaned, organized and are about to donate 5 bags of stuff to Samaritan House.

The child laborers have grown so much in this past year, nothing fits.

The maid is happy to say she has not grown but shrank☺

And just plain does not wear half the stuff she is donating.

Now the summer fun can begin.

Have had no inclination to stamp at all...is that bad?

My Mojo is not gone, the ideas are a poppin in the air filled head all the time

and going to a rapidly filling up note book.

Just don't feel like it.

Here's Alex's page....such a proud Mama.

These were pics he took on his "first" 08-09 deployment, of the Suez Canal and the Peace Bridge

AKA Friendship Bridge, there's other names for it just keeping it simple.

Such an Awesome site to see this floating city (aircraft carrier)of more than 5000 men and women pass under a bridge. Alex an OS is on the bridge, the top part of the ship. He said there is only about 3 to 5 feet between the tallest part of the ship and the bottom of the bridge during low tide.

My Favorite page and the most Fun.

For Captain I actually used my own handwriting then cut it out, learned this on the Studio Calico site.

The Stars are actually a circle chain...take a 5x5 square piece DSP or card stock and do this....

Make since... the smaller stars on the die work the best.

This Scrap Page Submission Came with a little help from classes I took on-line with

Kelly Purkey, You'll have to look her up.

I love her style, color choices, layouts and her awesome pics, of which are of her everyday life.

Her first class called Beginning focused on, pulling colors from the photos, using your supplies as inspiration, finding inspiration in your everyday lives and using scrap magazine and books.

The second class was all about sketches so AWESOME.

Now this and the next page might be the reason only cause of the rules....

"Artisan Award run between Jan 1 - April 20...yadda yadda yadda. Only current catalog, mini and Sale-a-Bration supplies can be used"

This is the short version...well my interpretation is/was, Fall/Winter mini did not end till Jan 3....

Using the Black & White DSP from the Fall/Winter mini on this page and the next was perfectly fine, right!

Oh Well!

Today is the last day of school!

Monday will be my last Artisan Post and my favorite of all my pages. For the rest of the week I'm posting a whole lot of samples and Gifts that have been done for the past couple of weeks.

A staged photo with my new camera...

And believe me the photo is awesome just can't tell in this photo.

One Morning I was eating some Dark chocolate espresso beans reading the Camera Manual and hear

Lilli in her, she thinks it's a whisper voice, telling on me to her Daddy,

"mommies eating chocolate for breakfast."

After a giggle and a peek around the corner for a smirk from my Husband,

I knew what my first page was going to be about.

So I rolled out some beans dropped a pretty flower from it's vase, knock the (after I finished it) now empty cup over.

Played with F-stop, aperture, shutter speeds in the C, M ,A, S, P dials just to see what would happen and you know what, the best Pic came from Auto.

I gave a hoar ed chocolate bean to Lilli (she had no clue) and shuttered... knew it was going to waste.

Scrap Booking is a little new to me the whole Paper Crafting world by way of Stampin' UP!® was introduce a little over 2 1/2 years ago, and I mean World!...hold on! need to wipe the drool from my mouth.

I knew what Scrap Booking was about just did not think I would be interested.

Card Making....ummm a perfectly good store around the corner sells them already made, but alas

No satisfaction or sense of accomplishment in a Grab and Go!

My being an artsy person thought paper beneath me.

Painting and beading were my thing, still love to do them.

This was an 8x8 changed to an 8 1/2 X 11

Add my Bean photo...a little sarcastic wit in the title and journaling and I was sticking it to those judges, cause there was a little of me in this page, it was the first done, can't you tell.

They get a little better, but nothing of what I can do now.

Woo Hoo Last week of school,

we are a Big Tourist town here at the beach so we actually start after Labor day, plus our School system feels we need to go a whole 3 extra days to stay "Ahead of the Curve"...

The Balloon is Fabric and my attempt to sew in a circle, not perfect, but I loved them and

after 4 attempts at circle sewing, I was ready to jump in the first and float away.

I cut out the clouds from the Sweet Pea Pack (2010 Spring Mini)

Trendy ya think.... I can say there are no cloud stamps in the new 2010-2011. Sigh!

The first card done, and it was almost rejected too.

I did this one in Jan, and when Stampin' UP! announced it's color renovation

there were only two returning colors on this card.

Now that the retired list is out almost everyone of my cards and Scrap Pages have a lot of retiring elements.

Could this be the reason....I really do not care anymore.

I cannot wait and am excited to see the entries of those chosen,

cause I know they are Extraordinary!

But you have to be in Utah in July to view them, of which I will be, but first let me,

draaaggggg ooouttttttt 2 moooore weeeeekks of ssssschoollllllll. EWWW!

Now on to my cards...I really Have no Faves for these I loved them All.

This one was a Night Before, I mailed them off submission.

This Submission could be called Vintage.. to me Vintage is lace, Botanical's, Art Deco, Victorian.

This to me is Grunge, with a little vintage thrown in...singing Nirvana, sing with me

I love Grunge...my inky fingers make quite a lot of my cards become Grungy☺

My other 3D...A Wall Hanging, this one took me forever to do.

I made one, which was bigger than this one, it has 2 birds and Welcome on it, it took me a whole day, and this is when I discovered the bleach and cord buttons thing. Yep very Proud of my self.

Was showing the hubby with a GREAT BIG GRIN....

Let me interrupt real quick with a short story and explain a little somethin' about me. Mom, both sisters and all female family members even the ones I married into, are seamstresses in their own right.

I was the art, drama, and band geek.

I have always wanted to learn to sew just could not find the time...then comes along this Chicken Scratch Chic. Yep you all know her as Angie Juda (♥her) and she shows how easy it is to sew making purses with the Big Shot.

UMMM! Purse Junkie right here,

I'm so going to make one of those, went out and bought a cheap full size Machine.

Almost a Full spool of Gütermann's Thread in the Garbage later,

My first Bag was done and I was HOOKED.

Now granted that bag will probably fall apart, but I did not care.

I could now say I was Fully Domesticated....

I COULD SEW!!!!!!

Sorry bout that, back to hubby.

Reading the AA Rules again, "made with love" was not a criteria.

Next day This one entered was made in half the time.

I still would not recommend you eat at my house either.

Welcome to my Almost Artisan Entries

Since I did not win you get to view them early....

those of you who visit regularly know how I post, those of you who are new Welcome. I'm going to start with my Favorites and work my way to Maybe this is why.

3D is what I'm good at, I had so many ideas floating around my air blown head, I had to narrow it down to what I thought the judges would like to see.

Lets Play some Tropical Tic Tac Toe

Using the On Board Batch Of Blooms p185 of the IBC, it's quite large 9x9,

Island Oasis DSP, sheet metal and a magnet sheet for the Game pieces are the main Ingredients.

And Way to many more to list.

The handles are Red & Orange Bead Duo's p180 and Linen thread.

I create some bigger chipboard leaves and some magnet leaves for a place to store the game pieces between moves. Stand is a lightly scored piece of raw chipboard, that I bent slowly to loosen the fibers of the board, so it would not rip, then covered.

Well What do You think?

You Scratch Mine & I'll Scratch Yours

I bought these mini Back Scratchers last year for convention as a 3D.....

as you can see they didn't get used.

They make great and quick gift, cause who doesn't need their back scratched.

I just pulled the existing string out and add a snazzy chipboard Flower and some Pretty ribbon.

If it has a hole, (no dirty remarks) and you can give it away, put some pretty SU ribbon through it!

So for all my sweet demo friends going to Convention and doing a general 3D swap.

I will have them so come find me....And I'll scratch your back for ya.

No really. Punch Away, I won't tell.
Saw this technique on a Scrap Page in a mag....who ever did it their page was Awesome....Try it!

A Choppy Editor put up a Video on these...It's a long story. Did you know that when you give a file a name it usually can be found just by typing it in search, I did at one time, must of went by way of the air that entered my head at one point.
Get It?
Well needless to say, one well done video erased and a hasty one took its place, with some choppy edits trying to cover up that haste.
Flip is Lucky he's not on the shelf again because
he was not saving where I thought he should be.
Now I think we can get along.
It can only get better right...

I've Got That Retro Feelin...

The style now called "retro art" is a genre of pop art which was developed in the 1940s and 1950s in response to a need for bold, eye-catching graphics.
Some fun with some new colors.
The yellow you see is the new Daffodil Delight, the little the sliver of blue on the black card is Marina Mist and the red border is Cherry Cobbler.
So excited for these and more....Early Espresso, um mm so ME!

I hoped to post a whole lot more this week, only DH has been out of town for some
Mercedes schooling in FL, he comes home tonight.
In the mean time my Big Burly cop neighbor has been keeping his eye's on us. JK!
Actually Smith & Wesson is a good friend of mine.
DH goes to Houston soon and I might tag along, only what to do while he's in his class, sightseeing alone is no fun, at least for me.
Any Houston stampers Like to come get me...it's a thought.

Here's a page done with Lilli's help using The new summer mini
Tropical Party and my May Discount Stamp set.
See below post, more details to come.
I had some fun playing around with the pic's, blurring the backgrounds, customizing, and printing the photo's.
I'll tell you more about that later with some more pages, most of it's cheap or free.
I'm also using the coordinating paper called
Island Oasis
LOVE LOVE LOVE it...so Bright and Fun,
I actually used the more toned down pages of the pack.
Lilli decided it needed Bling I didn't agree but caved anyways,
She choose how the chipboard pieces were cover, even sanded and stamped them herself.
Stamped the flowers and told me where to sew.
She choose pretty well with only a "little" interference.
I'm very proud of her "almost" First page.

Yes I'm showing Lilli, I do not care to show my younger children, it's a preference.
Not one I'll do to often, to get the full effect of the customized pic's
she needed to make her debut.

This card was given to Lisa, it's Lisa's stamp set she let me borrow to play and I made her a few samples. Now I have to order it. Demo's get to pre-order select sets from upcoming catalogs.

This was an Ah Ha moment for me.
A brayer inked up and ran across your paper....NOT!
If she is coming near you, Lorrie and I drove 1½ hours to go to her beginners Class, with some shopping in between☺
It's so worth it,
and I can guarantee you will learn so much, and quite a few things you did not know.
And have a lot of Fun.
Michelle says we were her Best Class Ever...☺!

A Spanish Lesson....

Ella quería un conjunto español ... sólo porque la mayoría de las damas no lo hablaba.
Yo sé algo de español suficiente para que a través de un taller de trabajo y suficiente para saber lo que la mayoría estaban hablando, pero hablaban Inglés mayor parte del tiempo, y luego comenzó a enseñarme algunas palabras, dirigidas a estampar.

Translated:I hope correctly....

I had a Workshop a while ago for Patrice
She wanted a Spanish set...only because most the ladies there spoke it.
I know some Spanish enough to get through a work shop and enough to know what most were talking about, but they spoke English most of the time, then started to teach me some more words, directed towards stamping.
A little lesson...
Card Stock: Cartulina (I was was calling it papel, paper)
Cut: Cortar ( actually lots of different words for this)
Big Shot: Big Shot or Mandamás

Stampin Up! has a Spanish Catalog ( Catálogo Español)
that's has quite a few of it's own original and translated sets from the main (IBC) catalog.
